The Eye Doctor is a reusable hot compress, clinically proven to treat a range of dry eye conditions. It is available to buy online and through major high street retailers nationwide, including 1,400+ branches of Boots.
Despite a long-standing brand association with Dr Hilary Jones who features in most of their marketing, The Eye Doctor team wanted us to develop a simple but stylish DRTV advert with all of the focus on their superior product. There are similar competing products on the market, but none have the same design pedigree or awards recognition as The Eye Doctor, which is a medical device.
We wrote the script and offered advice on how to keep the messaging simple and clear, outlining as many points of difference as possible between The Eye Doctor and competing products, whilst staying on the right side of U.K. advertising regulations. The TV advert blended live action filming with a simple, stylish animation which explains how The Eye Doctor works to treat dry eye disease.
